Kenneth R. "Buck" Miller
Age 65, of Dayton, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2007, at Kettering Medical Center after a brief bout with Cancer.
Ken was the first member of his family born in Ohio. Because of that he was given the nickname "Buck," which he was called by his family and friends and especially his beloved brother, Don.
Ken is survived by his wife of the past 42 years, Joyce F. Miller; three sons, Jeff, Robb (& his wife, Cindy) & Scott Miller; his mother, Olive Miller; three grandchildren, Matthew, Kari & Zachary Miller; one brother, Donald (& his wife, Kathy) Miller; and by two of his very good friends, Fred "That Guy" Meadows and Mike "Captain" Caldwell.
Ken was preceded in death by his father, Claude Miller, in 2006.
Ken was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served with the 385th M. P. Battalion in Stuttgart, Germany. He worked 24 years for Quality Beer Distributors as a route salesman and supervisor. After that he worked 17 years for Heidelberg Distributors as a route salesman, supervisor and warehouse maintenance person. He enjoyed fishing, camping, yard work and was an avid reader.
The family will be receiving friends from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
