October 23, 1943 — February 12, 2014
Kenneth M. Mumford, age 70, of Xenia, OH passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Mumford Sr. and brother, Robert "Billy" Mumford, Jr.
Kenny is survived by his mother, Mary (Anca) Mumford of Beavercreek, son, Stephen (& Natasha) Mumford of Xenia, his love, Marie Henry, aunt, Catherine Oditt, uncle, Louis Anca, sisters: Mary (& Fred) Szonnell of Beavercreek and Anna (& Bob) Bruns of Miamisburg, brothers: Jim (& Dottie) Mumford of Kettering, Tom (& Becky) Mumford of Pleasant Hill, Sonny (& Kathy) Mumford of Vandalia and Joe Mumford of Beavercreek. He is also survived by nieces and nephews: Christine Chauncey, Michelle McDaniel, Cheryl Sigmond, Nicole Mumford, Ryan Bruns, Andrew Bruns, Angie Mumford, Patrick Mumford, Brandon Mumford, Sean Mumford and Amanda Thomas, along with numerous great nieces and nephews, fishing & bowling buddies and friends.
Kenny served honorably in the U.S. Air Force, and later retired from WPAFB. He was a gentle soul who enjoyed fishing with the family and was an avid Browns fan. Kenny was very gifted and compassionate towards others, collecting accolades in whatever he did.
Visitation will be held Noon-2:00 PM, Monday, February 17, 2014 followed by a funeral service at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, OH.
The burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery immediately afterward. If desired, memorial contributions may be directed to Acclaim Hospice.
