Kenneth Lee "Harold" Harrell, age 72, of Dayton, OH, U.S. Army veteran, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2014 at the VA Hospice Care Center in Dayton, OH.
He was born June 25, 1942 in Middlesboro, Kentucky and was the son of the late James Luther and Sallie Minerva Overholt Harrell.
Kenneth was a member of Binghamtown Baptist Church in Middlesboro, KY. He is survived by one very devoted daughter, Jessica Harrell, Dayton, OH, two granddaughters, Larissa Norman, and Alexia Anderson of Dayton.; one sister, Grace (Cecil) Ingram, Winchester, KY; former wife and close friend, Danette Zurface; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and very close friends. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Crystal Metz; three sisters, Beverly Inman, Katherine Brown (his twin), Dorothy "Jenny" Carter; and four brothers, Luther Junior Harrell, Edward Scheafer Harrell, Homer Ray Harrell, Doyle Harrell and Hollis Fred Harrell.
Visitation will be from 9:30 - 10:30 am Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory (4104 Needmore Road, Dayton) where his Funeral Ceremony will begin at 10:30 am Thursday, with burial to follow at Dayton National Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio.
