Kenneth "Ken"R. Diskete

Kenneth "Ken" Raymond Diskete, age 70 of Beavercreek, Ohio went to be with the Lord on December 31, 2020. He was born June 7, 1950 in Cincinnati, Ohio son of the late Raymond and Mary Louise Diskete.
Ken was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Ken loved the Lord and was a faithful servant at Eastview Church of God. Ken sang with the Gospel Group, "4 His Glory". He was an active supporter and participant at the Coming Together Center and was involved in TOP Flight (Teens Offering Praise). He was a proud Veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1976. Ken retired from the VA working with Orthotics Prosthetics following many years at LaForsch/Orpro. He was a selfless, patient man that always put others needs ahead of his own. Ken loved spending time with his grandchildren and watching them participate in all of their activities. Everything he was involved in he did with passion and love. Ken is going to be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by sister, Caroll Diskete; son, Scott Johnson; brother-in-law, Jimmy Moore, Ronnie Moore; and sister-in-law Brenda Norman.
Ken is survived by his wife of 40 years, Shirley Diskete; daughters, Melissa (Anthony) Dell'Aria and Christine (Kerry) Gephart; grandchildren, Ashley (Robert), Travis (Kelley), Brittany (Jason), Clayton, Dylan, Madison, Mason, and Vincent; 6 great grandchildren; twin sister, Katherine (Roger Aichele) Puckett; brother, Rudy (Gayle) Diskete; brother-in-law Tony (Lori) Moore, Terry (Pam) Moore; sister-in-law Debbie (Donnie) Schulte, Linda Dumars; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 8, 2021 from 11:00am to 12 noon at Eastview Church of God (5289 Burkhardt Road, Dayton, Ohio 45431). Service will begin at 12 noon at Eastview Church of God with Pastor Leon Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Buford Cemetery, (St Route 134, Sardinia, Ohio).
The State of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order and has required that face masks be worn in all public places.
