KOROSEI, Kenneth James, age 49, of Arvada, Colorado, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 16, 2009, following open heart surgery. Ken was born on September 30, 1960, in Kettering, Ohio, the youngest of five children of Joseph R. and Sylvia E. (Hickman) Korosei. He was a graduate of Fairmont West High School and attended the Ohio State University. For the past 7 years, he has been employed as manager at Specialty Chemicals in Denver. He was a member of Jefferson Avenue United Methodist Church, Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Ken was preceded in death by his father, and is survived by his loving wife of nearly 20 years, Marsha, of Arvada; his mother, of Kettering; 2 sisters: Victoria of Oakwood and Jacqueline of Kettering; 2 brothers: Thomas (Kim) of Anchorage, Alaska and Timothy (Julie) of Kettering; stepson Scott of Naples, Florida; 3 nieces: Callie of Kettering, and Emma and Alys of Anchorage; 2 nephews: Logan and Austin of Kettering; and numerous cousins. A memorial service was held on Monday, October 19 in Colorado; funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio, at 1:00 p.m. following visitation (12 noon-1 p.m.), with the Rev. Kitty Kincaid officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in New Carlisle. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society or to the American Diabetes Society.
