Kenneth E. Hagens, Jr. "Butch", age 76, of Kettering, passed away Friday, June 18, 2021.

He was born November 16, 1944 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Kenneth E. Hagens, Sr. and Frances (Kemper) Hagens. Kenny was a proud Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. During this time he served on the USS Yorktown along with his brother, Charlie. Kenny was the proud recipient of the Purple Heart. In his later years, he and Charlie went on the Honor Flight together.

Kenny retired from Ohio Bell Telephone/Ameritech after more than 30 years of service. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, hunter, softball player, and bowler. Kenny often enjoyed these activities with the "Bell Boys". He enjoyed trips to the gambling boats with his wife Marcia, and he loved playing instant lottery with friends and family, in his words "you win I'm in". He was an active member of the VFW Post 9927 and the AMVETS of Kettering Post 2003.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Barbara "Barbie" White, Charles"Charlie" Hagens, and Linda "Lyn" "Lindy" Woods, and his infant son, Benjamin Paul Hagens.

Kenny is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marcia (Allen) Hagens; 3 children, Bethany (Mark) Schultz, Dawn (Rodney) Wells, Bud (Pami) Hagens; grandchildren, Erin (Scott), Buddy (Mindy), Amanda (Abe), Ryan Dale, Tyler (Megan), Ashley (Bryan), Andrew, and Holleigh; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Sandra McClellan; 4 sisters-in-law; 1 brother-in-law, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends.

Private graveside services will be held for family only.

An expression of sympathy may be made to the VFW Post 9927 in Kenny's memory.
