Joseph, Kendall, 87, of Harrison Twp., passed away Sunday, December 20, 2015.
He was born November 15, 1928 in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late G.V. and Ethel Joseph and on May 20, 1954 he married his beloved wife, Avonell Butcher. Kendall was a proud Army Veteran of the Korean War from 1950 until 1952. He was a successful Iron Worker and Foreman until his retirement from Elco Steel. Kendall was also a member of the Iron Workers Local 290, and was a Mason. He was fiercely independent, and was well respected in the Iron Workers' community. Kendall was a great provider and had a very strong work ethic which he learned from his father. He was an avid sports fanatic, and enjoyed his yearly fishing trip with his friends. Kendall loved being with his friends, and was very giving towards them.
He was preceded in death by his parents, G.V. and Ethel, his wife, Avonell, 2 sisters, Wilma Dotson and Geneva Joseph, and his granddaughter, Ashley Bolender.
Survived by 3 daughters, Brenda Jarrell of Williamsport, KY, Debra Cline and Karen Joseph, both residing in Dayton. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, Brian, Jacquie, Michael, Nathan, Rachel, Elizabeth, Christian, Alexis, Samuel, Alexandra; 8 great grandchildren, Darion, Journey, Shelby, Reece, Luke, Lilly, Rileigh, Bram; siblings, Mabel Ledford of TN, Emma Jean Adams of KY, Charles Joseph of KY, Faye Stacey of KY, Peggy Howard of OH, Patricia Blevins of OH, Harold Joseph of KY, Granville Joseph, Jr. of KY, Phillip Joseph of KY, Brenda Minnix of KY, and a host of other family members and his many friends.
