Kelly Christine Grigsby, age 43, of Huber Heights, passed away on May 3, 2021 peacefully at her home after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born February 5, 1978 in Richmond, IN to mother, Sharon and father, Gary J. Weiss. She is preceded in death by her loving grandfather, Charles (Mike) Lasley.
She is survived by husband of nearly 12 years, Calvin Grigsby; her daughters, Whitney, Savannah, and Ivy; mother, Sharon (Brian) Eley; sister, Shari Weiss; grandmother, Wanda Lasley; uncle, Gary Lasley; niece Haley Craft; nephew, Quintan Weiss; and many additional family and friends.
She was a hairstylist for many years who retired to begin her true calling as a full-time mother. Kelly was a loyal, compassionate and caring wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She loved trips to the beach, a cabin in the woods, and gatherings with family and friends.
Kelly Loved animals and her four dogs, Coconut, Kahlua, Casper and Kiwi will miss her greatly. In such a life cut short Kelly touched so many.
We would like to thank her oncology team along with the staff of the Cleveland Clinic who treated her so well. Kelly lived her life to the fullest with an unforgettable smile and positive attitude. We will live ours in her honor.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday May 11, 2021 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, with pastor Josh Bell officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Englewood. Family and friends may visit from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, May 10 at the funeral home.
The State of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order and has required that face mask will be worn in all public places.
