Kelly D. Christensen

Kelly D. "KD" Christensen, age 68, of Kettering, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2009. He was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Bev; mother-in-law, Margaret M. Bogart; one brother and two sisters. Kelly is survived by his father-in-law, Irvin C. Bogart; daughters, Kim Christensen and Jodi (Tracy) Staton; grandchildren, Max and Samantha; one brother, Richard (Jean) Christensen; one sister, Rebecca Tipton; special friends, Frank and Billie DeBrosse; and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends. Kelly served his country in the U.S. Navy and retired as a firefighter from WPAFB. He also served as a volunteer firefighter for the city of Kettering. Kelly was a lifetime member of the Rocky Fork Amvets Post 61. The family will receive friends Friday, April 24, 2009 from 12:30-2:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Kettering Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). Services will follow at 2:00 pm. Burial will be at Centerville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral costs.
