Hasty, Kelin F., age 81, of West Carrollton, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2007. Kelin was a United States Navy and Army Veteran proudly serving during WWII. He retired from NCR after 28 years of service and from Montgomery County Sanitary Engineering after 10 years of service. He attended Dryden Road Pentecostal Church, F. & A.M. Miamisburg Lodge, and was a member of the Merry Miler's Club at Dayton Mall. Kelin was also an avid nature lover and gardener.
Kelin is survived by his wife of over 60 years: Dorothy (Jones) Hasty; daughters and son-in-law: Sharon Cowdrey of Springboro, Karen (Chuck) Lenhart of Miami Twp., Regina Holley of SC; sons and daughters-in-law: Robert (Patricia) Hasty of West Carrollton, Jeffrey (Beverly) Hasty of Germantown; grandchildren: Michelle (Mike) Milligan, Kelly (Rodney) Milligan, Jennifer (Christopher) Hinch, Candice (Jason) Miller, Colleen (Jason) Barnett, Justin Gentry, Casey Gentry, Lacy Cowdrey, Brittney Hasty, Andrew Hasty, Rachael Cowdrey, Christy Cowdrey, Melissa Cowdrey, Samantha Boddie; 11 great grandchildren; sisters: Eunice Wilson of Toledo, Alene Mefford of Wilmington; and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Floyd & Viola Hasty; brothers: Ralph & Harold Travillian; grandson: Richy Kelin Cowdrey; and son-in-law: Richard L. Cowdrey.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 19 at the Dryden Road Pentecostal Church, 3201 Dryden Road, Moraine with Reverend Bennie Sutherland officiating. Interment will follow the service at Miami Valley Memory Gardens in Centerville. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 5:00 - 8:00 .M.
