Keith Sowards

SOWARDS, Keith, age 70, of Beavercreek, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2009. He was born July 1, 1938 the son of the late German and Bureta (Horn) Sowards. Keith owned and operated Motor Medic in Beavercreek since 1985. He loved to hunt deer every year in West Virginia and was a member of the Beavercreek Church of the Nazarene. Keith served with the United States Army. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Elda Sowards; one daughter, Lee-Ann (Wes) Smith of Beavercreek; two sons, Steve (Lyliette)Sowards and Josh Sowards both of Florida; 7 grandchildren, Lindsay Austin, Ryan Austin, Jordan Smith, Taylor Smith, Morgan Smith, Jacob Sowards, and Alexa Sowards; one sister, Lois Middleton of Texas; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Rory Keith Austin. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 8, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel where funeral services will be held Friday, January 9, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with Jim Cole officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
