Keith Neargarder Sr
May 29, 1944 — August 14, 2017
Keith E. Neargarder Sr., age 73, passed away on August 14, 2017. He was born on May 29, 1944 in Dayton, OH to Leonard and Rosaline (Steinke) Neargarder.
He is survived by his son, Keith E. Neargarder Jr., daughter-in-law Karla R. Miller, grandson Alexander James Neargarder and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Keith was an avid sports fan, especially a lifelong fan of The Cleveland Browns. He loved to watch all sports – his favorites being football, volleyball, tennis and baseball. A couple of his fondest memories were attending the 2010 tennis US Open in New York City and the 2012 London Olympics both with his son.
A special thanks goes to Marilin Robinson (niece) and Hans Forth ("adopted" son) as both were very special people in Keith's life.
Family, friends and others whose lives Keith touched are invited to the Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH Saturday August 19, 2017, 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. to pay their respects. A service will follow for those who wish to attend.
The Neargarder family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Hospice of Dayton and ask in lieu of flowers donations be made to Hospice of Dayton in memory of Keith.
