Keith B. Mildon passed away at the age of 87 at the Widow's Home of Dayton on July 17, 2012. He was born May 28, 1925, in Ogden, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents Matthew John Mildon and Alice Afton Bingham, and all of his siblings, including John, Jay, Dee, Veva, Boyd, Blaine, and Darrell.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lois Arlene Ansley and their three children: Marlece (Kent), Doug (Christie), and Valaine. He had seven grandchildren: Steven, Leslie, Paul, Michelle, Colette, Aubrey, and Darick. He also had 10 great-grandchildren, as well as, many nieces and nephews.
Keith spent his younger years in San Francisco, returning to Uintah, Utah where he attended Weber H.S., and later Weber College and University of Utah. He was called to service in the U.S. Army in WWII, serving in the European and Pacific Theaters. He held many different jobs after his return, while furthering his education. He loved working with his hands and was a handy man of all trades, including construction and masonry. He also received his pilot's license and worked as an aircraft mechanic, he finally settled in management as a systems analyst in the Department of Maintenance for the Air Force at Hill AFB, Utah. In 1969, he and his family relocated from Sunset, Utah to WPAFB in Dayton, Ohio, where he received many awards. He retired from Wright-Patt after 39 years of service, and went on to become an early employee of Robbins-Gioia Contractors, where he remained for five years in work supporting Civilian Managers in the Air Force Logistics Command.
Keith was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was always supportive of his heritage in the Faith. Keith loved his family and friends and enjoyed music, singing, travelling, dancing, golf, and bridge and other card games. In memory, he loved, laughed and loved; he loved, cried, and died.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm on Monday, July 23, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 12:30 – 1:30 pm. Burial to follow at Byron Cemetery.
