Kay Olivia Lewis, age 78 of Fairborn, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Carriage Inn of Dayton. She was born April 18, 1940 in Springfield, Ohio the daughter of George Bronston and Margie Gray. She was a graduate of Cedarville High School Class of 1957. She started employment at Yellow Springs Instruments and retired from Perfect Circle/Dana Corporation.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harry Everett Lewis, Jr.; in laws, Francis (Carl) Shoemaker, Christine (William) Routt, Robert Lewis and Betty (James) Burden. Step-sisters, Phyllis Johnson and Barbara Miller.
Kay enjoyed bowling, trivia, foster care, music, traveling, substitute teaching and her pet Cuddles. She enjoyed going to all her children's sporting events. Family was always her first priority and she was a second mom to many. She also enjoyed monthly gatherings with her elementary/high school classmates until she passed.
Kay is survived by her children, Kent Eric (Kelley) Lewis, Kevin Earl (Melissa) Lewis, Krista Kay Lewis and Lawrence Evan (Shelby) Lewis. Grandchildren, Sandra Dearlove, Falicity Lewis, Bladen Lewis, Ethan Lewis and Kylieann Lewis; nieces, Cheryl Thomas, Shari Petersime, Lindsay Mockley; nephew, Ronald Lewis. Special cousins, Dorothy Reynolds and Jeannie Moody. She is also survived by numerous family and friends.
Memorial service Sunday, December 23, 2018 at 7 pm at Wesleyan Church 5600 N US 27 HWY Richmond, IN 47374. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, December 23, 2018 from 3 pm to 7 pm at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in Kay's name to Northeastern High School Athletic program in Fountain City, IN or Meridan Health Services (Foster Hope Program) in Richmond, IN.
