Katie V. Maggard, age 74 of W. Carrollton, joined her loved ones in heaven on Saturday, Nov 2, 2013. Born Feb 6, 1939 in Knoxville, TN.
She was a retired W. Carrollton School Bus Driver.
Preceded in death by her husband, Bruce; mother & father, Agnes & Arrant Cochran; 2 sisters, Ruth Faulkner, Polly Keys; 1 brother, Bill Cochran.
Survived by 4 children, Shiela & Charlie Burris, Mike & Sunshine Maggard, Evelyn Fidler, Kevin & Tonda Maggard; 4 grandsons, Brad (Crystal), Chris (Kandis), David (Tiffany), Jaiden; 4 granddaughters, Chassity (David), Char, Crystal, Kara; 3 great-grandchildren, Bailey, Madison, Kayden; 13 nieces; 19 nephews; many great nieces & nephews; brother-in-laws & sister-in-laws and special friends that she loved very much.
A special thanks to Sycamore Glenn Staff & The Hospice of Dayton for all the care and compassion.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Nov 6, 2013 from 5-8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The service will be held on Thursday, Nov 7, 2013 at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
