Kathy Ann Smith
March 18, 1957 — January 31, 2022
Kathy Ann Smith, age 64 of Kettering, passed away Monday, January 31, 2022 at Mountain Crest Health Care. She was born March 18, 1957 in Miamisburg, Ohio, the daughter of the late Jack and Kathleen Killian.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, John and Jack Killian; and brother-in-law, Michael Smith.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 37 years, Rodney; children, Christina (Bryan) Chambers, Tosha Smiley, Janell Hill, Joseph Smith; grandchildren, Haleigh, Crossley, Jack, Makalya, Landon, and Leighton; great grandchildren, Kinsley and Clara; sister, Sherry (John) Fuhr; father-in-law, JT (Bobbie) Smith; mother-in-law, Blondie Smith; sister-in-law, Fran Brooks; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Kathy was a school bus aide in her most recent career. She truly loved working with the special needs children on her route. She will be remembered for her compassionate and caring nature, and always taking care of others. Kathy was our guardian angel and always will be.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Newcomer Kettering Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439). A Memorial Service will begin at 4:00 pm.
