Kathy J. Burks

Kathy J. Burks, age 61 of Dayton, Ohio passed away on January 4, 2022. She was born January 18, 1960 in Xenia, Ohio daughter of the late Waymon Hairrell and Connie Hairrell - Barker.

Kathy was a devoted wife, loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Kathy was a talented musician in which she played the Bass Guitar. Her priority was her beloved family in which she enjoyed spending all her time with. Kathy will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents Waymon Hairrell and Connie Hairrell-Barker; sister, Florence May Franklin; and brother-in-law, Kerry L. Maynard.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 40 years, Thomas Burks; sons, Billy Pancake, Tommy Joe Burks; sisters, Shirley Hairrell and Brenda Maynard; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 23, 2022 from 2-3pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). A Memorial Service will begin at 3pm at the Funeral Home. Kathy will be laid to rest at a later date.
