Kathy Frizzell

Katherine Ann Frizzell, age 59 of Dayton, passed away Friday, January 17, 2020 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born January 22, 1960 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of the late Lawrence Anthony Sr. and Audrey Ann Dobrino.

In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence Anthony Dobrino, Jr. and sister, Marilyn Ann Dobrino.

Katherine is survived by her husband of 36 and a half years, Russell Frizzell; sons, Donald Lawrence Frizzell, Michael Allen Frizzell; sisters, Linda Ann (Gary) Corsmeier, Janice Ann Simmons, Patricia Ann (Richard) Beckman; grandchildren, Ava, Max, Mason, Marly and Finley; daughters-in-law, Allie Robinson and Rachael Frizzell and in-laws, Beverly (Thomas) Schryver and Robert (Sherry) Frizzell as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.

Kathy was 1978 graduate of Fairmont West High School and later studied medical coding at Sinclair Community College. She spent the majority of her career working for the Department of Veterans Affairs at Dayton, Charleston, SC and Cincinnati Medical Centers. Kathy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kettering – Eastmont Campus where she was very active in their youth programs. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, cooking and gardening in her spare time. She will always be remembered for her dedication to and love of family as well as her commitment to her faith.

Family will receive guests from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Newcomer Funeral Home - KETTERING. Funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 pm and be officiated by Pastor David Faile. Service will conclude with procession to Mt. Zion Park Cemetery, Beavercreek for burial.
