Kathy Fairchild

January 25, 1958 — February 20, 2025

Kathy Fairchild, a luminous spirit cherished by all who knew her, passed away on February 20, 2025, leaving behind a legacy threaded with compassion and an indomitable zest for life. Born on January 25, 1958, Kathy was a vibrant force in this world whose adventurous heart and rebellious spirit inspired those around her.

She dedicated a significant part of her life to the noble pursuit of guiding others as a counselor for TCN. With unwavering empathy, Kathy touched the lives of many, nurturing their journey toward healing and self-discovery. Her commitment to education and learning shaped not only her own prominence but also empowered countless souls seeking refuge in her wise counsel. A proud graduate of Clark State University, she embraced knowledge as a lifelong student, embodying the idea that growth knows no bounds.

Beyond her professional achievements, Kathy relished the quieter moments of life. An artist at heart, she found solace in coloring—a gentle escape where tranquility and vibrancy intertwined, reflecting her colorful persona. Moreover, her affinity for true crime television and courtroom dramas revealed an inquisitive mind, always yearning for the thrill of unraveling complexities.

Kathy’s adventurous spirit extended beyond her passions; it permeated her very existence. She was a woman who loved to “push the envelope,” and was not afraid to push the boundaries of the norm. Like a lighthouse in the fog, she shone brightly, guiding others to embrace their own wild journeys.

She leaves a profound imprint on the hearts of her family. She is survived by her beloved children: Justin (Jackie) Harshman, Ryan Maxwell, and Dillon Fairchild; her cherished grandchildren, Brooklynn Harshman, Justin "Junior" Harshman, Artie Maxwell, and Elias Fairchild; her father, Neil (Marion) Steele; her siblings: Mike Steele, Jamie (Steve) Staley, Lori (Steve) Dahm, her bonus sister, Barbie LeVally, and brother-in-law, Tim Woods; along with a wealth of nieces, nephews, and friends who adored her.

Kathy is predeceased by her mother, Barbara A. Maxwell, and her sister, Debbie Woods. The tapestry of her life, woven together with strands of love, laughter, and resilience, remains a source of strength and inspiration for those she has left behind. In celebrating Kathy's memory, we remember a woman who embraced every moment with open arms, inviting us all to do the same.
