Kathryn Wright
April 17, 1919 — May 24, 2012
Kathryn "Kay" (Shoup) Wright, age 93, went to be with our heavenly Father on May 24, 2012. Preceded in death by her husband, Elmer F. Wright; parents: George and Ida Belle Shoup; 3 brothers; 2 sisters; and grandson, Brian Calloway.
Surviving her are 2 daughters: Marilyn (Don) Calloway of Miamisburg and Marcia Tabor of Huber Heights; grandchildren: Marc (Heather) Schultz, Susan (Kevin) Svarda and Julie (Jeremy) Smith; great grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Joshua, Nathan and Zachary Shultz, Luke and Cody Svarda, Grayson and Corbin Smith.
Kathryn graduated from Parker Coop High School in 1937. She became a homemaker and loving mother to her 2 girls. She was employed at Community Blood Center in Dayton for 20 years. She was a devoted member of Prescott United Brethren in Christ Church for 24 years.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the family will receive friends for one half hour prior to the service, from 1:00 – 1:30 pm. Burial to follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank Elmcreek Nursing Center staff for their loving care and compassion that was given to Kathryn.
