Kathryn Richards

Kathryn Richards, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Hospice of Dayton. She was a native Daytonian and graduate of Patterson High School, Class of '72. She was a member of the Northridge Congregation Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Kathryn, affectionately know as "Auntie", dedicated her life to Jehovah and was baptized in the late 60's. Auntie worked at Rike's Department Store right after high school. She remained a dedicated employee through many company changes, and retired from Macy's in 2015 after 44 years of service. Auntie was very caring and nurturing. Although she did not have children of her own, she spoiled her nieces and nephew. Frequent sleepovers, shopping trips and McDonald's runs were always on the agenda.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack & Arlene Richards; her nephew, William Maxwell Alexander Jr.; her uncle and aunt, John Henry and Geri Richards; cousins, Joann and John Franklin; special sister, Diane Boston; special niece, Kimberly Alexander; and special friend, Ann Ober.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her sister, Patricia (William) Alexander; nieces: Patricia Battle, Catherine (Kenny) McClodden, Erin (Stephen) Timothy; great-nieces: Billye Alexander, Carmyn Alexander; great-nephew: Adebiyi Timothy; special brothers and sisters: Arthur Todd Boston, Marsha Palmer, Clarice Crow, Sharon (David) Watkins; special nieces and nephews: Kieare McClodden, Douglas and Boston families; devoted friends: Demica Palmer, Calvin Grant, Ted Daniels, Sandy Kay, and Nyon Smith; and a host of other family and friends.

Family will receive friends from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Friday, April 26, 2024 at Miamisburg South Congregation Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2748 Pennyroyal Road. Memorial Service will begin at 1:00pm.
