Kathryn L. Powell

Powell, Kathryn, age 64, of Fairborn, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 1, 2023.

Kathryn was employed by The Greene County Board of Developmental Disabilities, where she made many lifelong friends over the course of 30 years. Kathryn was a long-time lover of Country and Bluegrass music. Kathryn enjoyed many things, but nothing more than her family. Her love and devotion to her grandchildren was obvious to everyone around her. She held the title "Grandma Bootsie" with such pride.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawerence and Louise Powell of Dayton. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Larry Powell of Casstown. She is survived by her daughter, Ashlee Bowling (Dave) of Springboro; the light of her life, grandchildren, Boston, Berkley, Sunny, Ace, and Livvy; her sister-in-law, Kathy Myers; and her beloved pup, Brady. She will be remembered fondly by numerous family and friends, in particular, her long-time friend, Ruth Carter (Terry) and her colleagues at Greene County.

"I know a woman of strength and beauty. I have watched her for years, learned from her, been cared for by her, been loved by her in a way NO ONE else could ever love me. She has been my guide, my protector, my inspiration, and most importantly, my friend. She will always be these....She will always be in my heart. She is my Mother."

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to any local Humane Society in Kathryn's memory.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 4:00 pm until time of service at 6:00 pm at Newcomer Centerville Chapel, 820 Miamisburg Centerville Road.
