Kathryn D. Krug (Shoemaker) age 93, of Dayton, passed away on Monday July 18, 2011. She was born on March 29, 1918, in Darke County, OH, to the late Raymond and Edna Shoemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Midlam; second husband G. Fred Krug; two sons, Gary and Doug Midlam; grandson, Gary Midlam, Jr.; and her sister, Helen Hartman.
Kathryn is survived by her step-daughter, Judy Krug; step-son, Dennis (Adelle) Krug; daughter-in-law, Marlene Midlam; five grandchildren, Kim, Debbie, Bob, Steve and Sarah; four great grandchildren, Curtis, Chad, Samantha and Evan; two sisters, Irene Bell and Mildred Arthur Thomas; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and good friends.
Kathryn retired from GM after several years of faithful service. She was a member of the Harvest Chapter Eastern Stars. She retired and moved to Venice, FL for several enjoyable years, before moving back to Ohio to be close to her family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday July 23, 2011 at 10:30 am at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior from 9:30-10:30 am. A special service will be presented fifteen minutes prior to the start of the service at 10:15 am by the Harvest Chapter Eastern Stars. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Kathryn's honor to The Hospice of Dayton. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
