Kathryn E. Allen

Allen, Kathryn E., 89, of Dayton, passed away June 20, 2018.

She was born September 7, 1928 in Thurman, Ohio to the late Joseph E. and Bessie J. (Miller) Jackson.

Kathryn was a devoted Christian woman with a loving Spirit. At Mt. Enon Missionary Baptist Church she was instrumental in the development of the Mt. Enon Mission House and the coordination of Missionary activities and educational programs in the church. Kathryn's church involvement included, Sunday School, Youth Church, Vacation Bible School, the Annabelle Howard Circle, Baptist Training Union, Foreign Mission, Ministers Deacons & Trustees Spouses and she worked tirelessly in any capacity in which she was asked to serve.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Allen, son, Timothy K. Allen, and brothers, Lester Jackson, Raymond Jackson. She leaves to mourn her memory, 2 sons, William J. Allen, Wayne S. (Alma) Allen; 4 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; 2 brothers, William Jackson, David Jackson; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. She will also be greatly missed by special friends, Ella Morton, and Claudia Harper, as well as her loving church family and numerous friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am at Mt. Enon Missionary Baptist Church 1501 W. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Way, Dayton, OH 45402. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery.
