Kathleen M. Simonds

Age 56 of Dayton passed away Sunday, August 27,2017 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born May 22,1961 in Dayton, daughter of late Colleen Durst and Harold Bruhn. Kathy worked at Friendly's for thirty years, where she met many friends whom she kept in touch with. She loved life, her family, and her animals. Kathy was known for being a kind soul, who fought many health battles throughout her life, but was always there to help others in need. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Timothy Bruhn. She is survived by her loving husband, Joe Simonds; her three children, Shaun (Mary), Jamie (Stephen), Joey (Heather); eight grandchildren; her brothers, Jack (Rhonda), Rick (Grace), Michael (Jan), and William "Billy", and many more relatives and dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 9,2017 at Mangan Banquet Center, 1585 Grange Hall Rd, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432 from 12pm – 3pm.
The family requests in lieu of flowers to donate to The American Cancer Society in her honor.
