Kathleen Janet Nelson, born November 5,1938 and became free on October 2, 2015 at her home surrounded by family and friends.
We celebrate her creative spirit, are inspired by her kindness, and treasure her sense of humor. She worked as an R.N. in Madison, Wisconsin before moving to Ohio. She loved teaching Art to children, taught Pottery at Riverbend Art Center in Dayton. She never met a book she didn't like, and retired as a bookseller from Walden Books. She loved animals and is preceded in death by a menagerie of cats and a couple of dogs.
Those who remember her are her husband of 54 years, Charles D., Nelson; her brother, James A. Bly (Helen) of Madison, WI; sisters, Judy Mayer (Roger), and Patricia Williams, also of Madison,WI. She will also be missed by her children, Kristen Wyant of Columbus, OH, and Eric Nelson, of Chicago, IL; her son in law, Mark Wyant, and her two devoted grandchildren, Tyler Wyant, Riki Wyant, all of Columbus; 8 nephews and 1 niece; her in laws, Sharon Pawlikowski (Tom), Gwen Larson and Richard Nelson(Barbara). Preceded in death by mother, Alice Bly, father, James A. Bly, brother in law, Don Williams.
She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all she touched.
