Kathleen Gail Newton, age 62 of Miami Township, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2016 at Walnut Creek Nursing Center. She was born July 11, 1954 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Walter and Marybeth Smith.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Helena A. Smith.
Kathleen is survived by her son, Michael E. Guenther; sister, Melanie (Thomas) Phipps; two brothers, Walter E. Smith, II, Daniel A. Smith; two nieces, Christy (Scott) Purdin, Melissa Johnson; six nephews, Zack (Debbie) Smith, Sean Phipps, Drew Phipps, Dan (Julie) Smith, Joshua (Sarah) Smith, Randy (Lauren) Smith; as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Friday, October 7, 2016 at Zion Memorial United Church of Christ, 4000 S. Dixie Drive, Moraine, OH 45439. Burial will follow at 2 pm at Heritage Hills Memory Gardens, 7370 St. Rt. 48, Springboro, OH 45066.
