Kathleen Furrer

FURRER, Kathleen, age 72, of Troy, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2012. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ann and Dale Merical and brother, Ron Merical.

Kathleen is survived by her husband of 49 years, Max Furrer; daughters, Elizabeth Walker, Christine (Dave) Britton, and Susan Furrer; grandchildren, Seth and Nathan Walker and Leila and Cecelia Britton and Nonie, Gigi, and Niko Furrer, and sisters, Marilyn Oberg and Patricia Whisner. Earlier on in her life, Kathleen taught in a one room school house. She was conservative in her views and passionate about her country and politics. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, whom will be dearly missed. Special thanks to the caring ICU staff at WPAFB Medical Center.

Family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 pm on Monday, December 10, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, with services following at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (Miami Valley Chapter) or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
