Katherine " Kay" L. Smith, age 96, of Dayton, OH passed away on Sunday November 24, 2013.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Russ Smith; daughter, Nancy Carney; parents, William and Catherine West; and brothers, Robert and Donald West.
She is survived by her sister, Evelyn Swift; brothers, Carl West and Harold (Janet) West; sisters-in-law, Lydia West and Carolyn Smith; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Kay was a longtime member of the South Park Methodist Church and she retired from Good Samaritan Hospital. She enjoyed her friends and family and all of their children.
A memorial service will be Monday December 9, 2013 at 1pm at the South Park Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton or the South Park Methodist Church.
Arrangements are by the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), Kettering, OH.
