Brock, Katharine Elizabeth,
Age 89, of Beavercreek, passed away, Saturday, August 22, 2009. She was born July 8, 1920 in Jackson, OH. She was a resident of Dayton for 15 years & Beavercreek for 52 years.
Mrs. Brock was employed at Beavercreek Schools in the cafeteria for 5 years & retired from the US Post Office after 18 years. She was an active member of the Community of Christ Church in Beavercreek & Los Fresnos, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph & Lenna (McGatha) Humphreys; brothers Frank & Ronnie Humphreys; sister Beulah Neumann; son Karl Richard Brock; grandson Darrell Rodney Brock.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Garvin M Brock, sons Garvin M (Frances) Brock, Jr., Titusville, FL, Charles Alan Brock, Ft. Wayne, IN; daughter Nancy Lynn Hughes, Union, OH; sisters Imagene Evans, Jackson, OH & Linda Sue Wright, Dayton; brothers William & Delano Humphreys, both of Dayton; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces & nephews.
Services will be held 2pm, Thurs. Aug. 27 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, Beavercreek Chapel where visitation will be held from 1-2pm on Thursday. Interment at Valley View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Community of Christ Church, 860 Grange Hall Rd, Beavercreek.
