Karl D. Porter, 67, passed away on Nov. 3, 2019 after completing his circle of love, with his family, that day. He was a resident of Huber Heights, Ohio.
Karl was born in Milford, Massachusetts on Dec. 23, 1951 to parents, John D. And Shirley I. Porter of West Upton, Mass. at the time. He grew up in Westborough, Mass. and attended Westborough High School as part of the 1969 class.
One of his passions was being a volunteer fireman in Florida. He was very honored to serve the community. He was a recent graduate of the Civilian Police Academy of Huber Heights, Ohio. And also served on the Water Board in town.
He was the son of the late John D. Porter and Shirley I. (Sanders) Porter of Westborough, Mass.
He is survived by his life partner, Karla Shoemaker, his children Keith D. Porter of Merrimack, N.H., and Kelley Porter of Marlborough, Massachusetts, and the other love of his life, Willow, his doted on pup.
In addition to being a loving father and partner, he was a loving grandfather and uncle. He was a grandfather to Yve Porter, Private Brice Porter, Jana Griffis, Candice, John, and Tonya; one great-grandchild Adrianna. Nancy Lawrence, his sister and his brother in law Bud Lawrence. Uncle to Russell and Jason Lawrence; His cousins Jim Porter (Bunny) and Elaine Porter of Upton, Mass.
He will be greatly missed by family and all the friends and individuals he touched through life with his kind heart and the willingness to always lend an ear and offer advice and support. He entertained all on his face book page with numerous morning jokes; and forever loved his morning Starbucks.
He loved to cook, was a great shopper, an inveterate collector of antiques, wine maker of usual flavors and unusual tastes just to see if he could.
He loved his garden and produced delicious heirloom tomatoes among other vegetables, and killer jalapenos.
He was forever a townie from Westborough, Massachusetts. He always kept touch with goings on in the town.

There will be no funeral services at this time, however the family will have a Life Celebration in Westboro, Massachusetts in the spring.
