Karl Pittl

Pittl, Karl Henry, age 88, of Trotwood, passed away on April 10, 2007 at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born Vukovar, (Yugoslavia) Croatia on February 11, 1919, the son of Anton & Carolina (Spachek) Pittl, II. He was a member of the National Guard and Civil Air Patrol. He worked for the Indiana Forestry Fire Patrol and was also a contractor in both Ohio & Indiana for many years. He retired as a toolmaker from Dayton Reliable Tools. Karl is preceded in death by his parents; second wife, Margaret Riley Pittl; third wife, Ruth Pittl; sister, Goldie (Pittl) Kyle; and his brother, John Pittl. Survivors include his wife, Clara Pittl, first wife, Rita R. Pittl of Boise, ID; children, Carolyn Bauman of Union, OH, Karl (Mary) Pittl, Jr. of Boise, ID, Barbara (Rex) Sexton of Dayton, OH, Janet (David) Collins of St. Charles, MO, John (Carol) Pittl of Huber Heights, Karla (Paul) Overs of Russells Point, OH, Virginia (Dan) Gauthier of Dayton, OH, Mary Wooldridge of Hudson, MA, Tony (Margo) Pittl of Kearns, UT, Joseph (Gwen) Pittl of Eagle, ID, Bill (Carrie) Pittl of Troy, OH, Madonna (Tim) Hoskins of St. Petersburg, FL, & Glen (Debbie) Riley of Huber Heights, OH; step-children, Juanita Dawkins of Dayton, OH, Michael Riley of Dayton, OH, Tom (Sue) Riley of Dayton, OH, Liz Riley of Dayton, David (Judy) Deeter of Dayton, OH, Bill Deeter of Dayton, OH, Betty (Brian) Cain of Brookville, OH, & Joyce Kenneday of Dayton, OH; 61 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren & great-great grandchildren; brother, Tony (Nadine) Pittl of Cataract, IN; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members and friends. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, April 13, 2007 at Precious Blood Catholic Church, 4961 Salem Ave., Dayton, OH. Visitation will be on Friday at the church from 9:30-10:30 AM. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Spencer, IN next to his mother and father. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
