Weller (Baer) Karen Joanne of Dayton passed away Tuesday, August 30th, 2022. Born July 22nd, 1948, age 74. Preceded in death by her parents John G. and Lila L. Baer, sisters Marilyn R. Culberson (Bob), Sharon A. Turner, Mary Louise Baer; brothers Daniel E. Baer, Phillip G. Baer (Joanne), John Theodore Baer; sister in laws Betty L. Baer, Joan M. Schenck; brother in laws, Paul D. Weller, Mark S. Weller. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Lester H. Weller, JR.; daughters Erica N. Campbell (Scott), Gretchin M. Bollinger; grandchildren Richard K. Robinson (Sarah), Ashley R. Campbell, Madison M. Robinson; great grandchildren Calum Les Robinson, Jayce York Robinson; brothers James M. Baer (Carol), Kenneth R. Baer (Jackie), David A. Baer (Mary), Thomas A. Baer, Robert P. Baer (Patty), and Christopher A. Baer; brother-in-laws Bruce J. Weller (Sue), James B. Weller (Chris); sister in laws Cathy L. Baer, Karen S. Weller; and numerous nieces and nephews. She attended St. Helens grade school, Carroll High School Class of 1966; employed by Marianist Mission, of the Marianist Province of the US (Bergamo). She attended St. Mary's Catholic Church of Dayton, President of the St. Anne's Society. She was a Greeter, Lector, Usher, Sacristan, and leader of the Share the Word scripture study group with her husband, Lester, for 40 years. She enjoyed playing softball and fishing with her husband and best friend. Her family and her church were her life!
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 19, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432).
Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 12:00 pm St. Mary Catholic Church. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the Mass. Karen will be laid to rest at Dayton National Cemetery following the service.
