Karen S. Mercer, age 66, of Dayton, passed away Friday, March 23, 2012.

She is survived by her loving & devoted husband of 44 years, Joseph L. Mercer; twin children, Bradley "Joey" (Shannon) Mercer and Jill M. (Craig) Newburg; grandchildren, Macy, Chloe and Keli Newburg, Lauren and Sophie Mercer; brother, Brian (Karen) Fuller; sister, Kathy Fuller; special friend, Jane Luddington; and many other relatives and friends.

Karen was a devoted wife, special mother, adoring grandmother and overall beautiful person. She treasured her family vacations in Florida and weekend dinners with her family.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 28, 2012 from 5-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 9:30am, at Holy Trinity (272 Bainbridge St, Dayton, OH 45402). Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery.

Donations may be made in Karen's memory to The Humane Society of Greater Dayton (1661 Nicholas Rd, Dayton, OH 45417).
