Karen S. Jenkins
Age 65, of New Carlisle, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2008, at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born August 22, 1943 to the late Glenn L. & Dorothy A. (East) McMann. In addition to her parents she was also preceded by her step-mother, Margaret McMann.
Karen is survived by her husband of the past 47 years, Fred Jenkins; five children, Theresa Darling, Thomas & Sarah Jenkins, Mark & Lisa Jenkins, Elizabeth & Lawton Cox, Leroy & Bo Jenkins; 17 grandchildren; four great grandchildren with three on the way; five brothers & sisters, Donna & Ozz Bourquin, Pat & Bob Gay, Pam & Bill Rowe, Butch & Grace McMann and Kenny & Bunny McMann; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and good friends, including her church family at the Fairborn Full Gospel Tabernacle.
The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 30, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday at the funeral home with Pastor James Dillon officiating. Interment will follow at Byron Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to the staff of Miami Valley Hospital and to Pastor James & Brenda Dillon for the loving care and support they provided.
