Karen A. Rhoton

Karen A. Rhoton, age 70, of West Carrollton passed away on April 29, 2023. She was born August 9, 1952 in Dayton, Ohio to the late John and Geneva (Price) Hogan. Karen was a lifelong resident of Dayton, and graduated from Wilbur Wright High School. She worked as a Phlebotomist for more than 20 years.

In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her sister Sharon Mills and her two brothers James "Hoagy" Hogan and John "Johnny" Hogan

She is survived by her devoted daughter Melissa (Barry) Sandlin; her grandson Brent Charles "Buddy Boy"; her nieces Michelle Mills and Janet Marie (Jesse) Zapata; nephews Greg (J) Mills and Tony Mills. Karen is also survived by her great-nieces Madison "Madi" Mills, Courtney Mills and Shelby Mills; great-nephews Eric Mills, James Brown, Mason Mills; her great-great-nephew Noah Davis and many lifelong friends and other loved ones.

Karen will always be remembered for being loving and caring, and for having a great sense of humor. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Newcomer Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 10th at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Karen will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery.
