Karen Christine Paul

Karen Christine Paul, 64, of Kettering, OH passed away peacefully on Friday May 13, 2022 at Hospice of Dayton while surrounded by loved ones.

Karen was born in Dayton, OH on August 10th 1957 to the late Ray and Alvena Deis. She was a passionate nurse who loved what she did and strived to make all of her folks feel like family. She received her LPN in Bristol, OK. During her over 35 years in nursing she developed this special craft of caring for people with disabilities. This became her passion and dedicated her life ensuring her folks they were loved and gaining the trust of their family members along the way. She would make sure if they didn't have loved ones visiting them that they came home with her to be a part of her family.

She loved traveling and often visited Kentucky, Tennessee and Florida. More than anything she loved her family.

She was survived by her loving children Joy (Todd) Neher and Rick (Terri) Hayner; her step-children Eddie (Audra) Paul Jr. and Amy Sucher; grandchildren Shale (Austin) Turner, Kendrick (Felicity) Hayner, Koby Hayner, Kearslynn Hayner, Kobrick Hayner, Keara Hayner, Kallie Paul, Lil Ricky Lopez, Matthew (Chrissy) Prince, and Cassandra Neher; great grandchildren Cayleigh Prince and Eden Turner; brothers Mike (Karen) Deis and Dwayne (Patty) Deis. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She will be missed by all.

Karen was preceded in death by her husband of 21 years Eddie Paul.

A Celebration of Karen's Life will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022, from 3:00pm-7:00pm, at the Knights of Columbus, 2055 S. Bird Rd., Springfield, OH 45505.
