Karen S. Iffland, age 73 of Dayton, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born December 5, 1944 in Richmond, Indiana the daughter of the late Byron and H. Lucille (Rowe) Poppaw.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Michael Poppaw, and sister, Ann Jones.
Karen is survived by her husband of 40 years, Michael Iffland; daughter, Deborah M. Weisman; grandchildren, Joshua A. (Taylor Hoffman) Moody, Sarah E. Moody; brothers, Daniel (Joyce) Poppaw and Timothy M. (Mary) Poppaw; sister-in-law, Cheryl (Tom) Bailey as well as many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
Karen was a dedicated general counsel and prayer warrior for others. She also enjoyed a long career as a hairdresser and licensed cosmetologist in Ohio and New York.
Funeral Service will be held at Friday, March 23, 2018 at 11:00 am at David's Cemetery Chapel, Dayton, OH. Visitation will be Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439).
