Karen Lynn Counts

Karen Lynn Counts, age 68 of Dayton, passed away August 19, 2018. She was born April 9, 1950 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Robert Everhart and Helen Phipps. In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her grandparents: Alta and Lonzo Reid; brother, Kyle Kelly; uncles and aunt: Robert Reid & Thomas and Liz Reid; and cousin, Vicki Lovell.

Karen is survived by her fiance, Jack Elson; children: Renee Dennis, Shawn Elson, Steven Lovell, Amber Ferguson and Jack Elson; grandchildren: Ashlie Rash (Alex Rader), Victoria Ferguson (Tre Florence), John Ferguson IV and Miranda Ferguson (Philip Adams); great-grandchildren: Zandriah, Zoey, Alex, Jackson, Tre, Zophia, Jameson and Myla; nephew, Timmy Debusk; many other family and friends.

Karen was a private duty health care aid for many years. She enjoyed riding Harley's and drinking Jack and Coke with her fiance, Jack. She was a very loving woman who would do anything for you.

Visitation will be held from 9:30-11:00 am on Friday, August 24, 2018 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
