Junior Ray Durbin, age 76 passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at the Dayton VA Hospice Center.
He was born on March 12, 1938 in Blue Diamond, Kentucky to the late, George and Izola Durbin. He is also preceded in death by brother, Charles Durbin; sister, Lucille Wash; and grandson, Damien Durbin.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; sons, George, David, and Darrell; step-children, Tammy Gideon, George Gideon, and Lisa Duvall; sister, Fleda Baer; brother, Austin Durbin; and numerous grandchildren; step-grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Junior was a veteran of the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1958 and worked in sheet metal repair for many years. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 9, 2014 from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 3:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd. Dayton, OH 45424.
