June Anne Wetterstroem, age 70, of Beavercreek, formerly of Columbus, passed away on January 22, 2024 after a brief hospitalization. She was born in Columbus, Ohio, on June 5, 1953, the eldest daughter of the late Theodore and Dorothy Wetterstroem.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother in law Pete Kane, and her dearest friend, Paul Polus.
June is survived by her sisters and brother: Barbara Wetterstroem, Nancy Kane, Kay (Tom) Gentry, and Dave (Nancy) Wetterstroem; her nephew and nieces, Kyle, Caitlin, Juliet, Michelle, Elizabeth and Katy; and numerous friends she met throughout her life.
June enjoyed an active, creative life and was involved with many things, including her church, scrapbooking, working, bargain-hunting, traveling and exploring what God placed before her. Her life totally changed due to a massive stroke in early 2013 that left her totally disabled. She fought a very long and hard battle and endured many struggles and losses during her journey, but her faith in her God grew even stronger and was everything to her. During her life, before and after the stroke, she impacted countless people and touched many lives. She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cat and dog mom and friend. June loved color and flowers and we can imagine she is now walking in God's beautiful, forever blooming garden! She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
In June's memory, please consider sending a living plant, flowers or a card, to someone you love or to a nursing home resident to brighten their day, as many have no family. June would want any contributions be given to help spread God's Word and God's Love.
Visitation will be held from 12:00pm-1:00pm, on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio, where Funeral Services will begin at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Xenia, Ohio.
