June Marie (Slaton) McLemore (Mommy June) entered fully into the presence of the Lord on Saturday, May 6, 2023. She was 83 years old.
June was born on January 14, 1940 to the late Andrew and Doris Slaton in Dayton, Ohio. She worked at Kroger and retired after 30 years. June was a devoted and loving mother that made sacrifices for her children and grandchildren. She acknowledged the needs of others with empathy and support.
She was always heavily involved at Tabernacle Baptist Church until she could no longer attend. She studied and read the bible everyday. June cared dearly for her friends and family. She loved dogs and had a close bond with the family dog, Lady.
She is preceded in death by her late mother and father, Doris and Andrew Slaton. Also preceding her were her sister, Renee, brothers, Donald and brother Kevin Slaton. June enters the presence of the Lord with her dear daughter: Marla Ellis.
June leaves to cherish fond memories, daughters: Monique (McLemore) Seabrook & Michele (McLemore) Sumerlin, Grandchildren that she adored: Alvin Brooks III, Jacqueline McLemore, Michael Brooks, Natasha Rivera, Micah Seabrook, Marlin Ellis, Myron Seabrook, Great-Grandchildren: Alvin Brooks IV, Michala Brooks, Dajasia Caldwell, Kyla Brooks, Christina Johnson, Amaya Rivera, April Lowe, and Aubrey Rivera. June will truly be missed by her cousins, nieces and nephew. June also leaves a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at First Light Church, 140 Elva Ct., Vandalia, Ohio 45377. The service will follow at 12pm.
June will be laid to rest at West Memory Gardens, Moraine, Ohio.
