Julius C. Somuk, 97, of Beavercreek, passed away October 1, 2017. Julius was born in Seward, Pennsylvania on August 4, 1920. Julius retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base as an Electronics Engineer after 39 years of service. He was a proud member for 4 years of the Army Air Corps during WWII. In his free time he enjoyed golfing, skiing, horseback riding, swimming, dancing, baseball, and flying with the 4950th Test Wing at WPAFB. In addition to his parents, Julius was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie Henderson. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Delores Somuk; daughters, Barbara (Michael) Thomas, Rosemary (Bobby) Adams; son, Joseph (Donna) Somuk; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Joe Somuk; and several other relatives and special friends. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 am at St. Luke Catholic Church, 1440 North Fairfield Road in Beavercreek. Burial will follow at Mount Zion Park Cemetery.
