Julius I. Evans, age 81, of Eldorado, went to be with his Lord & Savior on January 15, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 11, 1942 to the late William and Thelma Evans.
He was very strong-willed and he loved his Lord & Savior. His faith was very important to him. He also loved his country and served in the United States Air Force. His service inspired several of his grandchildren to serve as well. His family was also very important to him. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
In his free time, Julius enjoyed camping and woodworking. He built countless shelves, cabinets and various house projects using his skills. He was a simple man, and you could always get him a great gift by adding to his hat collection. His presence and his love will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, Julius was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters: Lewis "Ferd", Minnie, Lois and Roger; and his dog, Patches.
Left to cherish his memory, his wife of 60 years, Carol Evans; his children: Tina (Frederick) Intorre, Douglas (Leslie) Evans, Thomas (Lizzy) Evans and Tracey (Dalton) VanSkyock; siblings: William and Shirley; grandchildren: Anthony (Christine), Andrew, Jordan (Staci), Jeremy (Kelly), Jared (Emily), Stephen (Ashton), Taylor (Nick), Adam (Ellie), Levi and Rachel (Conner); great-grandchildren: Nathaniel, Sadie, Elaina, Zoey, Jayce, Jaxon, Kaylee, Bentley, Nova, Tinsley, Bristol, Hudson, Archer and one more on the way; his faithful companion, Jack; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
