Julia Martha Stephens, age 90 of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018. She was born September 25, 1927 in Boston, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Arthur and Julia Warren.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Talmadge J. Stephens Sr.; as well as several siblings.
Julia is survived by her children, Saundra (Joseph) Zapatony, Dale Gearing Talmadge J. Stephens Jr., Cindy Lewis; grandchildren, Tara (Patrick) Clouse, Heather (Ninian) Fisher, Jason Zapatony, Jennifer (Daniel) King, Pete Price, Daniel Stephens, Penelope Stephens; 10 great grandchildren; brothers, Harold (Karin) Warren, Bruce (Elaine) Warren; sisters, Louise Ducharme, Sally Titus, Claire Lange; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Julia and her husband were active in the Harvest Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Stars for many years. She was also very active in the Dayton Public Schools PTA from the 1960's through the late 1970's. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
Private family services to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, to which she donated to for over 40 years.
