Julia May "Jewel" Bailey
Age 16, of Riverside, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, January 3, 2008, as the result of a brain aneurysm.
She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Linda Rains and Ethel Bailey; and by her grandfather, Kenneth McPherson.
Jewel is survived by her parents, Lisa and Roger; step-father, Robbie; two sisters, Shannon & Pamela; three brothers, Joshua, Kenny & Jaden; grandfather, Samuel; uncles, Bryan, Earl & George; and by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear friends & classmates.
Jewel was a Junior at Stebbins High School and would have graduated in 2009. She was also an active player on the Riverside Girls Softball Team.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at The Living Word Church, 926 E. National Rd @ Brown School Rd., Vandalia. Funeral services will be held at the church at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, with Pastor Jason Norman officiating. Interment will follow at Minnich Cemetery, Union.
In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Jewel to the family to help with expenses.
Jewel will be missed by all who knew her. She will never be forgotten.
