Julia Joyner

JOYNER, Julia, E., 69, of Dayton passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at Miami Valley Hospital. She is preceded in death by her mother Mary White; husband William C. Joyner, Sr.; and brother Albert White. Julia is survived by her sons William Joyner, Jr. and Eric Joyner; daughter Karen Joyner; loving companion Herbert Jackson; sisters Sarah Thomas and Racheal Scott; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; adopted daughter Grace Prater; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church. Julia retired from the Senior Citizen Center after working in Food service at Wright State University. Funeral services will be held 7:00PM Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd. Family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00PM prior to services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, 1 Diamond Ave, Dayton, Ohio 45403.
