Julia A. Dixon, 71, of Dayton, passed away on December 18, 2014 at Stone Spring of Vandalia. She was born on June 8, 1943 to the late James Wells and Anna Whitaker in Fayetteville, TN.
Julia was a retired Salesperson for Wal-mart in Trotwood.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her Husband of 33 years, Melvin Dixon; Siblings, Marvin Whitaker and Mary Pitts.
Julia is survived by her loving Children, Anna Whitaker, Tony Whitaker, Gregory (Denise) Dixon, Anessia (Virgil) Carter and Christopher (Tara) Dixon; a host of Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren; Brothers, Roy (Sarah) Whitaker, James (Loretta) Jennings, Phillip (Mona) Whitaker; Sister, Kawanda (William) Cooper, Sharon Whitaker, Lula Lark, Betty Ann Henderson; numerous Nieces, Nephews and many good friends, including the Morgan Family.
Visitation will be held from 8:30-9:30 AM Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, where the Homegoing will begin at 9:30 AM, Tuesday.
Burial will take place 11 AM Tuesday at Dayton National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband.
