Judy Faye York

Judy Faye York, Age 76, of Xenia, passed away Tuesday, September 19,2017 with children and grandchildren by her side. She was born on January 13, 1941 in Dayton, Ohio to Joe and Ida (Michael) Elson. She was preceded in death by her husband Odell, her parents, her brother Joe Elson, her sisters, Laura Bilbrey, and Nellie Dawkins and her granddaughter, Willow Leuba. She is survived by her step-father, Jake Weng; her daughter, Tammy Eaton, son-in-law, Steve Thomas, grandchildren Linnet (Andrew), Jewel, Micah, Rowan, Sky and River; her daughter, Debby Logan, grandchildren Amanda (Tony), Aaron and Samantha and great-granddaughters Autumn and Lilly; her son, Ray Eaton, daughter-in-law, Ginny, and grandsons Jacob and Sam; her beloved nieces and nephews and a devoted collection of friends.
Judy was known for her 21 years in Girl Scouting at all levels and driving a school bus for 25 years. She will be missed as a member of Bethel Community Church, the Dayton Woodcarvers guild, her tatting club, and the Spring Valley Senior Center. Judy was well known for her talents in art, carving, and crafting. She shared her talents by teaching anyone who wished to learn. Judy, an avid traveler, enjoyed a cruise into the Panama Canal last December during which she took a white water raft excursion.
Celebration of life to be held at Bethel Community Church, 1020 Lower Bellbrook Rd., Xenia, Ohio 45385, on October 7th at 3 PM.
