Judy Gayle Reed

Judy Gayle Reed, age 72 of Dayton, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023. She was born July 16, 1951 in Rome, Georgia the daughter of the late Robert and Audrey Mellon. Judy had a career as a Nanny for over 30 years, 20 of those years she worked for the Smith family who she loved and saw as an extension of her own family. She was a handy and crafty person, a real jack of all trades, and expressed her creativity through stamping and Creative Memories scrapbooking. Judy loved to collect antiques especially primitive antiques. She was a loving mother and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

Judy is survived by her Son, Jeffrey "J.R." Paul Reed, Jr.; Daughter, Ronda Renee Dauer; Brother, Robert S. (Lisa) Mellon Jr.; Close Friend, Charlotte A. Henderson; Dr. Butch Smith and the Smith family; Uncle, Jimmy Lindsey; and many other family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents.
